Richard Hiltner, MD, DHt - President

Richard Hiltner, MD, DHt was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 18, 1944 and completed a Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Missouri Medical School in 1970. He has been a practitioner of Family Medicine in Ojai, California since 1974. In 1975 he started studying homeopathic medicine at the National Center for Homeopathy in Pennsylvania. In 1975 he became a member of the California Homeopathic Medical Society [Established in 1887] and has since been on the Board of Directors and has been President since 1988. He also has been Editor of the newsletter/journal of the Society since 1989. He also joined the American Institute of Homeopathy [Established in 1884] and received Board Certification as a Diplomate in Homeotherapeutics [DHt] from the American Board of Homeotherapeutics in 1978. In 1976 and 1978 he trained with an international homeopathic teacher, George Vithoulkas, in Athens, Greece. He has been a member of the American Academy of Family Practice since 1978. In 1988 he graduated from the three-year Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. He studied with Ze-lin Chen, MD Professor of Medicine at the Shanghai Medical University, who is recognized internationally in Tongue Diagnosis of Traditional Chinese Medicine. National Vice-President for the USA to the International League of Homeopathic Medical Doctors [LIGA Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis] since 1999. Vice-President of the American Board of Homeotherapeutics in 2000.Graduate of the International Institute of Iridology in 2002. In June, 2002 he gave a paper in Moscow, Russia on tongue diagnosis and its relationship to homeopathic medicine at the 57th LIGA Congress. Todd A. Hoover, MD, DHt - Secretary

Todd A. Hoover, MD, DHt is a Board Certified Family Practitioner in Homeopathic Family Practice in Philadelphia for over 15 years. His work experience includes being a Navy Medical Officer, Emergency Room Physician and a Medical Director for Lockheed Martin, Inc. Dr. Hoover is the current President of the American Institute of Homeopathy, immediate past president of the Council on Homeopathic Education, and a member of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the U. S.

Richard Moskowitz, MD - Treasurer,

Richard Moskowitz, MD, has practiced family medicine since 1967, and classical homeopathy since 1974, studying with the NCH Postgraduate Course, as well as George Vithoulkas, Rajan Sankaran, and others. Besides teaching, supervising, and lecturing, he has written two books, Homeopathic Medicines for Pregnancy and Childbirth, and Resonance: The Homeopathic Point of View, and many articles, such as "Homeopathic Reasoning," "Some Thoughts on the Malpractice Crisis," "Vaccination: a Sacrament of Modern Medicine," "Why I Became a Homeopath," "The Fundamentalist Controversy," "Hidden in Plain Sight," and "Diagnosis." He practices in Boston, and currently serves on the Board of the American Institute of Homeopathy.

Dr. Joyce Frye
has served as the president of both the American Institute of Homeopathy and the National Center for Homeopathy. She is the Chair of the Pharmacopoeia Revision Committee for the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the United States (HPUS) and is a member of the International Scientific Committee on Homeopathy and Influenza (ISCHI). Currently she is an Assistant Professor of Family & Community Medicine and of Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland where she see patients for homeopathic treatment at the Center for Integrative Medicine—the first such center in the U.S. to be affiliated with a medical school—founded by Dr. Brian Berman in 1991. Training: Doctor of Osteopathy, Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Resident in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Masters in Business Administration, St. Joseph's University. MS Clinical Epidemiology, University of Pennsylvania.

Iris Bell, MD, PhD has been a researcher in areas related to holistic, complementary and alternative medicine for over 30 years. She was chosen as one of the Best Doctors in the Pacific region of the US in 1996 and in the US in 1998. Currently Professor of Family & Community Medicine, Dr. Bell has served on the faculties at Harvard Medical School, University of California San Francisco, and the University of Arizona. She graduated magna cum laude in biology from Harvard University and then received her PhD in Neuro- and Biobehavioral Sciences and MD from Stanford University. Her psychiatry internship and residency were at the University of California–San Francisco, and she is Board certified in Psychiatry with Added Qualification in Geriatric Psychiatry. She is licensed to practice conventional medicine in Arizona and California.

Sandra M. Chase, MD, DHt, a BA graduate of Bridgewater College in Virginia, earned her Doctor of Medicine through the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and took her internship and residency program through the Department of Family Practice, Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia.
She studied homeopathy through the National Center for Instruction in Homeopathy and Homeotherapeutics and completed a Preceptorship under Maesimund B. Panos, MD, DHt.
Dr. Chase has been practicing homeopathic medicine in her private family medical practice for over 34 years. She has been very active in organizational homeopathy regionally, nationally, and internationally and is currently General Secretary for Public Relations (Member of Executive Committee) and Editor of The Liga Letter, the annual publication of the Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis (LMHI). She is also Trustee and Past President of the American Institute of Homeopathy (AIH); Secretary of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the United States (HPCUS); and President of the American Board of Homeotherapeutics (ABHt). She is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Southern Homeopathic Medical Association (SHMA) and Secretary of the Homeopathic Medical Society of the State of Pennsylvania (HMSSP) and Editor of The Southern Letter and The Hahnemannian, the newsletters of the respective associations.
She is a Past President (1995-1998, 1st woman president), former Prime Vice President (1991-1994), former General Secretary for Propaganda, and past national Vice President to the LMHI for the USA, for Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis.
In October 2004, she was named President of Honor, Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis, a perpetual award bestowed for meritorious service upon persons who have served as Liga President, granted only six times (first woman to receive this award) since the Liga's founding in 1925.

John A. Ives, Ph.D. is the Director of the Brain, Mind, and Healing Program and Senior Scientist for the Samueli Institute. He has been with Institute since its inception in 2001. Research efforts under his direction include the use of dietary supplements for the treatment of leukodystrophies and traumatic brain injury, anti-cancer effects of homeopathy, and the modification of immunological response through homeopathy. Other projects under his direction include laboratory research into human bioenergy and the measurement of biophotons for determining health status. In collaboration with his colleagues, Dr. Ives developed and published the "silica hypothesis" as part of a vigorous research program into the underlying mechanisms of homeopathy.

John Saxton. B Vet Med, Vet FF Hom, Cert IAVH, MRCVS qualified in 1964. Involved with homoeopathy since the late 1970s, he is a Fellow, past president and examiner of the UK Faculty of Homeopathy; an Examiner and Teacher for the International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy, an ex co-ordinator of its education committee and presently the veterinary secretary for the LMHI. Currently he runs a homoeopathic referral practice, teaches homoeopathy in Britain and abroad and writes. The co-author, of Textbook of Veterinary Homeopathy, his other books are Miasms as Practical Tools and Bowel Nosodes in Homeopathic Practice.

Amarilys de Toledo Cesar, pharmacist, homeopath, PhD in Public Health, Has been working since 1984 in her own pharmacy in São Paulo, with homeopathy, phytotherapy, flower essences, aromatherapy, she also has, with her family, an industrial laboratory that produces mother-tinctures and homeopathic dinamizations as raw-materials for other pharmacies. She has been working for the valuation of the pharmacists and the homeopathic pharmacy, even internationally, being the LMHI Secretary for Pharmacy for 11 years. Member of the board of homeopathic pharmaceutical associations and schools, she participated of several national and international congresses, responsible for courses and speeches in Brazil and South America.
